Prohibitions under Section 11 of Customs Act, 1962

1. Monkeys from the yellow fever endemic areas specified in the Schedule below, or monkeys from non-endemic areas unless covered by a certificate issued by the Government authorities of the country of shipment to the effect that the monkeys have not been in the endemic areas within thirty-one days immediately preceding shipment.

2. Bees and Silkworms

Prohibition: Bringing into India save where they are accompanied by-

(a) a special permit in accordance with the form set forth in the Schedule hereto annexed authorising such importaion issued by the Central Government or by an offer authorised by the Central Government on their behalf; and

(b) a certificate of freedom from disease granted by an entomologist of the Government of the country of origin.
