MUMBAI: Export Promotion Council for export oriented units and special economic zones (EPCES) and SEEPZ special economic zone (SEZ) held an interactive session on the latest policy initiatives by the government on Friday.
Ajay Kumar, joint secretary, department of electronics and IT and N P S Monga, development commissioner, SEEPZ, spoke at the session.
P C Nambiar, chairman, EPCES said export oriented units and the
SEZ sector have contributed one-third to the total exports and generates employment for 15 lakh people. The exports from SEZs during 2012-13 are Rs 4.76 crore, a growth of 31% from 2011-12.
