Bangalore: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd, operator of the Hyderabad airport, and aircraft engine maker CFM International Inc. will set up a maintenance training centre for engines designed for Airbus SAS and Boeing Co. The centre to be opened by January and will be located in the GMR aerospace park, a 250 acre aviation special economic zone (SEZ) adjacent to the airport. “This centre will help India’s airline companies considerably reduce costs and aircraft down time, and also conserve valuable foreign exchange for the country,” G.M. Rao, chairman, GMR Group, said in a statement on Friday, without providing financial details.
