Subject: EPCES launches new membership software application
New Delhi, Apr 9 () Export Promotion Council fort EoUs and SEZs (EPCES) today said it has launched a new membership software application.

The move would help EPCES members to digitally interact with the council.

It would also help cut delays and reduce paperwork for the members, EPCES said in a statement.

"The new system would facilitate tasks such as renewing their membership, applying for new or to download certificates," it added.

Officiating Chairman EPCES Vinay Sharma said this endeavour is aimed at saving paper and promote hassle free work environment.

There are about 7,000 export oriented units, special economic zones (SEZs) and SEZ developers across the country, out of which about 3,000 are enrolled with EPCES.

******************* Indian Overseas Bank, SMC Global Securities tie-up to offer e-trading facilities *

State-owned Indian Overseas Bank today said it has entered into an agreement with SMC Global Securities for offering e-trading facilities to its customers anywhere in the country.

In this association, IOB would be the point of presence and the services shall be available to all its customers, the bank said in a statement.

With this association, customers will have a triple advantage of having their bank account, demat and trading account interlinked on the common platform, it said.

Commenting on this partnership, bank's MD and CEO R Subramaniakumar said: "We are incorporating fintech into our banking system by associating with SMC Global who will provide customers an hassle free e-trading facilities".

Indian Overseas Bank, headquartered in Chennai, had 3,342 branches and 3,278 ATMs as of December 2017.
