China is the biggest producer of solar power goods on earth, and India is China's second most important market. Indian politicians have made residential rooftop solar a priority as a way to help the country meet its electricity needs.
According to the Indian Solar Manufacturers Association, China's solar goods undercut prices in India by nearly 40 percent.
