Rupee Slumps 11 Paise Against Dollar |

MUMBAI: The Indian rupee fell by 11 paise to Rs 45.35 a dollar in the early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange today, tracking gains in the American currency overseas and weak opening at the stock markets.
Forex traders said US dollar's gains against the euro and other currencies and and sluggish opening at bourses weighed on the rupee sentiment.
The rupee had ended 7 paise higher at Rs 45.24/25 a dollar in the previous session on late dollar selling by exporters and banks.
Meanwhile, the BSE benchmark Sensex fell by 57.14 points to 20,127.60 in opening trade today.
