Rupee opens at 66.50 per dollar, down 11 paise |
The Indian rupee opened lower by 11 paise at 66.50 per dollar on Friday against previous close of 66.39.
Pramit Brahmbhatt of Veracity said, "Weak dollar index will help rupee to appreciate. 66.20/dollar will continue to act as strong resistance. Trading range for the day will be 66-66.50/dollar."
The euro held steady against the dollar after slipping yesterday as traders looked past a European Central Bank meeting and weighed the potential for a more hawkish Federal Reserve next week.
