Rupee Inches Up by 4 Paise Against US Dollar |

Indian rupee edged higher against the greenback in morning trade. Rupee was up by 4 paise or 0.04% against USD to Rs 45.86 compared to previous close of 45.90. (09.42 a.m.)
At 9.44., the Sensex was trading up 5.82 points or 0.03% at 18,333.58 with 15 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 5.65 points or 0.10% at 5,500.25 with 25 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index dropped 0.196% to 77.59. It touched a high of 77.66 and a low of 77.57 after opening at 77.63 (23:10 ET)
Euro - USD was trading at 1.37 up 0.0029% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 81.94 down 0.0955%. (23:11 ET).
