Rupee Gains 9 Paise Against US Dollar to 48.88 |

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Tuesday. Rupee was higher by 9 paise or 0.19% against USD to Rs 48.88 compared to previous close of 48.97 (9.24 a.m.).
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.02% to 77.64. It touched a high of 77.70 and a low of 77.52 after opening at 77.62 (23:48 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.36 up 0.0957% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 76.67 down 0.0078% (23:42 ET).
