``Indian rupee strengthened on government's decision to partially deregulate diesel prices which will help bring down the huge fiscal deficit due to lower diesel subsidy bills. The rupee was also supported by a positive euro as signs of recovery in US eased the dollar and increased the risk appetite for investors. Indian rupee is expected to be stronger today as boost in equity markets backed by gains in state run oil companies after the diesel news can also support the rupee,`` said Emkay Global Financial Services.
