Rupee Gains 18 Paise Against US Dollar Ahead of RBI Policy |

Indian rupee edged higher against the greenback in morning trade. Rupee was up by 18 paise or 0.18% against USD to Rs 45.49 compared to previous close of 45.67. (10.06 a.m.)
At 10.07 am, the Sensex was trading up 83.16 points or 0.43% at 19,234.44 with 25 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 25.25 points or 0.44% at 5,768.50 with 42 components gaining.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index dropped 0.117% to 77.93 It touched a high of 78.06 and a low of 77.82 after opening at 78.06. (22:29 ET)
Euro - USD was trading at 1.36 up 0.0016% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 82.49 down 0.0305%. (23:32 ET).
