Rupee gains 13 paise against US dollar to 54.55 |

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Wednesday. Rupee was up by 13 paise or 0.24% against USD to Rs 54.55 compared to previous close of 54.68 (09.23 a.m.).
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.03% to 79.66 (22:42 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.31 up 0.11% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 82.25 up 0.43% (22:49 ET).
At 09.24 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 103.49 points or 0.53% at 19,451.61 with 27 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 23.90 points or 0.41% at 5,913.15 with 45 components gaining.
