Rupee gains 13 paise against US dollar to 54.30 |

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Wednesday. Rupee was up by 13 paise or 0.25% against USD to Rs 54.30 compared to previous close of 54.43 (09.26 a.m.).
At 09.30 a.m., the Sensex was trading down 30.03 points or 0.16% at 18,787.35 with 16 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 7.65 points or 0.13% at 5,716.75 with 33 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.22% to 80.43 (22:49 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.28 up 0.13% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 78.89 down 0.57% (22:57 ET).
