Rupee gains 11 paise against US dollar to 55.28 |

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Monday. Rupee was up by 11 paise or 0.20% against USD to Rs 55.28 (09.29 a.m.).
At 09.29 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 166.11 points or 0.97% at 17,364.04 with 26 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 51.60 points or 0.99% at 5,267.30 with 45 components gaining.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.06% to 83.32 (23:48 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.23 up 0.03% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 78.45 down 0.01% (23:57 ET).
