Rupee Gains 10 Paise Against US Dollar In Early Trade |
The Indian rupee appreciated by 10 paise to Rs 44.95 per dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange today, supported by a higher opening in the stock market and dollar weakness against the euro and other Asian currencies.
The rupee had strengthened by 10 paise to close at Rs 45.05/06 against the US currency in yesterday''s trade following fresh dollar-selling by some banks and exporters.
Forex dealers said dollar weakness against the euro and other Asian currencies overseas and a higher opening in the stock market kept the rupee sentiment firm against the American dollar.
