Rupee gains 10 paise against US dollar to 54.40 |

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Tuesday. Rupee was up by 10 paise or 0.18% against USD to Rs 54.40 compared to previous close of 54.50 (09.19 a.m.).
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.01% to 80.33 (22:38 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.29 down 0.07% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 82.40 up 0.05% (22:47 ET).
At 9.20 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 92.83 points or 0.48% at 19,502.52 with 25 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 22.40 points or 0.38% at 5,931.30 with 43 components gaining.
