Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Thursday. Rupee was down by 9 paise or 0.17% against USD to Rs 53.76 compared to previous close of 53.67 (09.23 a.m.).
''USDINR is expected to continue its declines towards 53.50 followed by 53.20 levels in near term. Any intraday gains could cap at 53.88 levels. Rupee is likely to be strong today as optimism for further reforms in the budget session and rate cut expectations from the RBI can strengthen the rupee,'' said Emkay Global Financial Services.
