Rupee falls 6 paise against US dollar to 54.75 |

Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Thursday. Rupee was down by 6 paise or 0.12% against USD to Rs 54.75 compared to previous close of 54.69 (09.23 a.m.).
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.02% to 79.82 (22:41 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.32 down 0.06% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 88.19 down 0.22% (22:47 ET).
At 09.23 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 4.15 points or 0.02% at 19,821.78 with 13 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 1.90 points or 0.03% at 5,999.95 with 27 components falling.
