Rupee falls 33 paise against US dollar 54.2 |

Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Tuesday. Rupee was down by 33 paise or 0.61% against USD to Rs 54.24 (09.29 a.m.).
At 09.28 a.m., the Sensex was trading down 4.37 points or 0.02% at 18,537.94 with 12 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 1.70 points or 0.03% at 5,608.30 with 24 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.06% to 78.96 (23:42 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.31 down 0.13% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 78.57 down 0.14% (23:57 ET).
