Rupee falls 11 paise against US dollar to 55.43 |

Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Wednesday. Rupee was down by 11 paise or 0.20% against USD to Rs 55.43 (09.25 a.m.).
At 09.24 a.m., the Sensex was trading down 39.11 points or 0.22% at 17,846.15 with 21 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 10.70 points or 0.20% at 5,410.30 with 41 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.07% to 81.96 (23:42 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.24 down 0.10% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 79.28 down 0.01% (23:55 ET).
