Rupee ends 9 paise higher against US dollar |

Indian rupee settled higher against the greenback on Wednesday. Rupee was up by 0.09 paise or 0.17% against US Dollar to Rs 51.52.
The Sensex declined 44.44 points or 0.26% at 17,199.40 with 18 components registering drop. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went down by 16.75 points or 0.32% at 5,226.85 with 33 components registering drop.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.32% to 79.60 (09.32 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.31 up 0.48% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 80.95 up 0.35% (09.36 ET).
