Rupee Drops 14 Paise Against US Dollar in Early Trade |

Indian rupee edged lower against the greenback in morning trade. Rupee was down by 14 paise or 0.14% against USD to Rs 45.70 compared to previous close of 45.56. (09.44 a.m.)
At 9.44., the Sensex was trading down 122.32 points or 0.65% at 18,562.11 with 24 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 47.10 points or 0.84% at 5,557.20 with 44 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.114% to 77.85. It touched a high of 77.88 and a low of 77.67 after opening at 77.75. (23:09 ET)
Euro - USD was trading at 1.37 down 0.0028% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 82.71 down 0.2053%. (23:04 ET).
