Rupee Drops 12 Paise Against US Dollar in Early Trade |

Indian rupee edged lower against the greenback in morning trade. Rupee was down by 12 paise or 0.12% against USD to Rs 45.65 compared to previous close of 45.53. (09.59 a.m.)
At 9.59 am, the Sensex was trading down 51.12 points or 0.27% at 18,995.42 with 19 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 19.40 points or 0.34% at 5,692.20 with 32 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index drooped 0.221% to 78.68. It touched a high of 78.91 and a low of 78.62 after opening at 78.77. (23:24ET)
Euro - USD was trading at 1.35 down 0.0028% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 82.94 down 0.0613%. (23:23 ET).
