A seminar on ‘export awareness’ was conducted at Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here. Jointly organised by KCCI, Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), and ECGC Ltd, the seminar discussed prospect of engineering goods exports, schemes for export promotion and export credit insurance among others.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr Srinivas S. Kamath, President of KCCI, said that the export of engineering goods stood at Rs 1.33 lakh crore during 2007-08 as against Rs 1.19 lakh crore in 2006-07. Mr M. Ganesan, Regional Director of EEPC, Chennai, spoke on the occasion.
