New Delhi (PTI): As part of its effort to shore up oilmeal exports, the Solvent Extractors Association (SEA) has decided to depute a 15-member trade delegation to South-East Asian countries from May 21.
The team will visit Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia to maintain India's share in the traditional markets and also explore new market for oilmeal, the SEA said in a statement.
As India's oilmeal exports to South-East Asian countries has started falling in the recent months, the Association has decided to step up the promotional efforts to check the fall, SEA said.
The country exported 54.22 lakh tonnes of oilmeal between April 2008 and March 2009, it added.
