Mumbai, Feb. 20 BSE-listed Orbit Exports, one of the largest exporters of specialty made-ups, has initiated talks with US retail giants for preferred supplier status. Orbit Exports has transcended from a fabric manufacturer to the niche specialty ‘made-ups' over the past three years.
The company expects margin to improve by tapping the western countries, including the US and the UK. Last year, it registered record sales during Christmas and New Year.
The expansion programme includes augmentation of weaving capacity by installation of 48 looms which includes 36 Dobby and 12 Jacquard machines at its plant at Surat in Gujarat.
The company's shares on the BSE were down five per cent to Rs 33 on Friday.
