NMDC to fix export deals by June: Report |
NEW DELHI: Largest Indian iron ore miner NMDC Ltd and state-run trader MMTC Ltd will finalise iron ore export deals by the end of this month, or early in June, the Business Line reported on Wednesday.
Senior officials from the two companies and from the Ministry of Mines will visit Japan and Korea towards the end of May, the newspaper said, citing unnamed sources. NMDC, which sells a small part of its iron ore production mainly to Japan and Korea under long-term deals, would wait for Australian miners to complete their negotiations so that their prices can be used as a benchmark, it said.
