MFN status to India may raise trade to $6bn |
KARACHI: With the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status likely to be granted to India and phasing out of the negative list from 1,209 items in near future, the bilateral trade between India and Pakistan is expected to touch $6bn in next three years from the present level of around $2bn.
This was stated by Rafeeque Ahmed, President of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) who is going to lead a 65-member delegation of Indian business community to Karachi from December 21-23.
Ahmed said FIEO in association with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is organising India Expo at the Karachi Expo Centre to provide a platform to businessmen of two sides to explore business opportunities.
