It is reported that India's chrome ore export price is likely to drop by 50% to FOB USD 300 to USD 400 per tonne, due to sluggish demand, at the same time, the association of Federal Indian Minerals requests the government to cancel the chrome ore export tax.
On a meeting held on January 6th 2009, Federal Indian Minerals said that India's chrome ore might drop to USD 300 to USD 400 per tonne on slow demand, but the minerals association and MMTC still undisclosed the base price.
Meanwhile, OMC has decreased its chrome ore price to some USD 219 per tonne on November 2008, dropped by 40% as compared with October 2008, but still unsold.
