India's June Exports Up By 27.1% |
India's exports in June 2010 were Rs,82,632 crore or $ 17745 million, compared with the Rs.64,996 crore or $13,606 million in June last year. In rupee terms, the increase was 27.1 per cent and 30.4 per cent in dollar terms.
For April-June 2010, exports were Rs.231,743 crore ($50,777 million), compared with the Rs.187,218 crore ($38,396 million), a growth of 23.8 per cent in rupee terms and 32.2 per cent in dollar terms.
For June, India's imports were Rs.131,781 crore ($28,299 million), representing a 19.9 per cent growth in rupee terms and 23 per cent in dollar terms over the level of imports valued at Rs.109,937 crore ($23,013 million) in June 2009.
The cumulative value of imports for the period April-June, 2010 was Rs.378,992 crore ($83,044 million), compared with the Rs.301,439 crore ($61,871 million), registering a growth of 25.7 per cent in rupee terms and 34.2 per cent in dollar terms to the corresponding period last year.
Oil imports during June, 2010 were $8354 million, 26.5 per cent higher than the $6601 million in the corresponding period last year; of this, non-oil imports were $19,946 million, up by 21.5 per cent from the $16,412 million for the comparable period a year ago.
The trade deficit for April-June, 2010 was estimated at $32,267 million, higher than the deficit of thee $23,475 million during April-June 2009.
