India Jeera Down Two Percent On Selling Pressure |
India Jeera futures declined sharply in the early trading session and touched the first lower circuit as speculators created fresh short positions. Benchmark August Jeera fell two percent to Rs 14868 and the counter is now trading lower at Rs 14885 level. The open interest in the contract added 0.50 percent to 11,136 tonnes, indicating short selling. India's Jeera exports declined 20 percent to 10,750 tonnes and value dipped 17 percent to Rs 11,981.63 lakh during April-June 2010.
Jeera futures ended the Saturday's session higher by 0.95 percent at Rs 15171 after prices slumping nearly four percent during the previous sessions.
