India chana futures may open up on Thursday on lower arrivals and concerns that adverse weather in main producing states like Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh may trim output, analysts said.
The benchmark March contract NCHH9 on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) ended down 0.63 percent at 2,378 rupees per 100 kg in the previous trading session.
A sharp rise in prices of summer-sown pulses like tur, urad and moong may also give the support to prices, they said.
GUAR:
India guar futures may rise on some export orders from China and good local demand from meal-makers, analysts said.
Analysts, however, said large-sized orders are yet to come and hence a big spike in prices is not expected.
Dwindling arrivals are also likely to support, they added.
March futures contract NGUH9 last ended unchanged at 1,643 rupees per 100 kg.
