Govt Allows Cotton Export Registration from Oct 1 |
NEW DELHI: The cotton export registration will commence from October 1, said Mr Anand Sharma , commerce and industry minister. It was also announced that the cotton shipments will only start in November.
The decision regarding the Textile ministry's proposed move to impose a Rs 2,500 duty hasn't been announced and it will be taken on October 15. The Indian cotton farmers are expected to reap in good profits from the firm global prices.
In 2010-11, the cotton production is expected to be around 325 lakh bales .
