FDI in multi-brand retail to go ahead.

LONDON: Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in multibrand retail will go ahead, said commerce and industry minister Anand Sharma.

"It is unfortunate that the matter got trapped in partisan politics. But we haven't gone back, there is only a pause."

Asked if India's decision to allow FDI to Pakistan was aunilateral offer or based on reciprocity, he said that he saw "no reason" why Pakistan wouldn't reciprocate
