Further to announcement of Central Government,
DGFT has issued a Public Notice yesterday (21.04.2010) informing the Removal of 7.67% DEPB benefit for export of Cotton Yarn including Melange Yarn with immediate effect.
In a press release issued today, Shri. A.Sakthivel, President welcomed this measure and said that he expect the cotton yarn prices would come down within a week, which is need of the hour to knitwear export sector.
Shri.Sakthivel also said he has sent a thanks letter to Thiru.Dayanidhi Maran, Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles for his support and efforts to save the garment sector, which provides employment to lakhs and lakhs people.
