Fall in export volume: Harvested cashew apple kept for processing along with the nut at a small farm near Kochi in Kerala . A fall in the rupee value against the dollar helped exports fetch better realisation despite fall in volume. During April-January this fiscal, 91,381 tonnes of cashew were exported against 94,794 tonnes during the same period a year ago. However, they fetched Rs 2,507.08 crore against Rs 1,850.71 crore during the review period.
