NEW DELHI: Container CONTAINER Corp of India (CCI) expects export/import transported volumes to rise 5% in the year to March 2010, its chairman Rakesh Mehrotra said on Thursday, on increased activity as the economy improves.
Domestic volumes would rise 20% during the year, Mr Mehrotra told investors on a conference call. In May, Mr Mehrotra had said that Concor’s transported volumes in 2009-10 would rise 10-12%.
The state-run transporter on Wednesday reported a 9% decline in September quarter profit to Rs 204 crore. Income from operations rose to Rs 960 crore from Rs 904 crore.
