Chief minister K Rosaiah on Thursday sought the support of the French minister of foreign trade Anne Marie for setting up of the proposed PSA-Peugeot Citroen automotive project in Hyderabad.
The chief minister made this request to the French minister when the 12-member delegation led by her called on him at Secretariat. It may be mentioned here that the technical teams from Peugeot had already visited Hyderabad and are said to have recommended favourably to set up the project. Chief minister assured the delegation of speedy clearances and necessary cooperation in this regard.
According to a press release, issues like trade promotion and mutual cooperation in arts and culture also figured during the meeting. Rosaiah urged the team to come forward for setting up of food processing and agro-based industries in the state.
Rosaiah also handed over a letter to the delegation offering allotment of office space on lease basis for French cultural centre at APIIC corporate office.
