Average tea prices up Rs 18 a kg at auctions.

 Kolkata: Between January and October this year, the average auction price of tea on all-India basis was up by nearly Rs 18 a kg at Rs 84.36 (Rs 66.38 a kg in the same period last year) but the quantity of tea sold through auctions during the period dropped by an estimated two million kg at 398.7 mkg (400.7 mkg), according to a statistical data released by the Indian Tea Association.
