Notification No. 66/2016- Customs (N.T.)
New Delhi, Dated the 14th May, 2016
S. O. (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of
section 58A of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise
and Customs hereby specifies the following class of goods which shall be
deposited in a special warehouse licenced under sub-section (1) of the said
section namely:-
(1) gold, silver, other precious metals and semi-precious metals and articles
thereof;
(2) goods warehoused for the purpose of -
- supply to duty free shops in a customs area;
- supply as stores to vessels or aircrafts under Chapter XI of the Customs
Act, 1962;
- supply to foreign privileged persons in terms of the Foreign Privileged
Persons
(Regulation of Customs Privileges) Rules, 1957.
