Subject: Permission for export of 10,000 tons of edible oil in branded consumer
packs from 01.11.2010 to 31.10.2011 – regarding
S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade
(Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para Para 2.1 of
the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby amends
Notification 18/2009-2014 dated 02.12.2009, with immediate effect.
- The export of edible oils under Chapter 15 of ITC(HS) Classification of
Export and Import Items, in branded consumer packs of up to 5 Kgs. was permitted
subject to a limit of 10,000 tons during 01.11.2009 to 31.10.2010 from Customs
EDI Ports Vide Notification 18/2009-2014 dated 02.12.2009.
- Now, the same dispensation has been extended upto 31.10.2011 as follows:-
- There shall be no change in ports i.e. exports will be permitted from Custom
EDI Ports;
- The period of export will be from 01.11.2010 to 31.10.2011;
- The total quantity ceiling permitted for exports is 10,000 tons; and
- There shall be no change in packing i.e. exports permitted in branded
consumer packs of up to 5 Kgs.
